I’m not one of the big fans of Nightmare Before Christmas. I loved the movie but not an all-out huge fan. But I gave this deck a shot and I know a lot of people were SO disappointed in it. At first I did NOT like this deck, I even thought of selling it. It’s like it can’t make up its mind if it’s a pip deck or not, and I do NOT read with pip cards. But then about a year later I pulled it out and it’s not so bad. The card stock is above average, the artwork is great.. for the few cards that have very little imagery to go off of, just get those cards out and study them and make them apart of what you like! That’s just how I try to do things. 4 stars bc the minor arcana is very lacking in the imagery for reading. Like the 4 of pentacles is 4 presents. That’s it. I don’t like that. But overall, if you’re a collector, definitely get it!

For the price I paid against the MSRP on back was nearly half of it, so that was a great deal. The box is a legit box, sturdy. The cards seem like better than average quality with nice print and color. It was a gift so I didn’t get to do some actual tarot on it. But I did hex it with a kiss.

Beautiful deck! Very well made, pretty packaging, and a nice nod to the movie and its beloved characters. My only critique is that I wish all of the arcana were thoughtfully designed. Instead, some of the minor arcana are just given basic imagery to get the point across (for example, if the arcana is '3 of candles' then the card image will literally just be a candle stick holding 3 candles and that's it). I'm not sure if the creators just ran out of ideas, or maybe ran out of time to create the deck, but cards like these just feel like filler instead of feeling like they belong in the deck and were purposefully created this way. Despite this, though, I'm still glad I bought the deck and would recommend getting it if you're a fan of the movie.

Really cute deck but when I was looking through the cards they stick together, the bottom of each card is warped making them stick together and 1 of the cards wasn’t cropped properly at all and is bent and sticks out so I’ll have to trim it. The guidebook is full colour and has upright and reversed meanings
