September 5, 2022The Anti-Inflammatory Diet slow cooker cookbook by Madeline Given, NC, is the perfect addition to my extensive cookbook collection for several reasons. First, I suffer from inflammation and a chronic pain condition. Second, I use my slow cooker a few times per week. Third, I don’t have anything like it in my collection. These recipes are prep-and-go for long-term healing, as noted on the cover and inside title page. The categories include breakfast, beans and grains, plant-based main dishes, poultry, meat, dessert and sauces and staples. I am especially excited about the plant-based main dishes category because the soups included there look positively amazing. Recipes include classic vegetable broth, minestrone soup, white beans and French onion soup, Thai curry vegetable soup (of which I am particularly interested) zuppa Toscana (made without meat) kale and white bean chili, and many other interesting recipes that I am eager to try. The spices required vary from typical to less-used ingredients like curry paste, fish sauce, lemongrass stalks, to name a few. Regardless, these recipes sound unique and flavourful and I can’t wait to give them a try. I make soups more often in the fall and winter, which is partly why I haven’t begun to cook these just yet. I can already tell that these will be amazing. If you like collecting cookbooks and trying new recipes, I recommend adding this book to your collection. The ingredient lists are reasonable and most of the spices are those you probably already own. I love this book!

September 5, 2022Received item a few weeks ago undamaged.
This item are recipes for the dietary persons or family and are done in a slow cooker.
At first I wasnt really wanting this but my wife suggested it because I am diabetic and need to be a little more healthier. We have tried a few of the recipes and really they have turned out really good.
There are several sections for easy to prep and make recipes in your slow cooker.
There is a section for easy breakfast items too so one weekend we will have to try one of them.
The pages are very easy to follow and give great detail on how to prep each recipe. The words are pretty big but for those with trouble seeing you may want to use a magnifine glass to see the words even easier.
Im glad my wife made me get this cook book, so far, so good, so yum.

September 6, 2022I got the The Anti-Inflammatory Diet Slow Cooker Cookbook : Prep-And-Go Recipes for Long-Term Healing Book. It has a lot of really good and easy recipe's. I like that the recipes are easy to follow and even has really nice pictures of some of the foods. Very well put together book to help you do better for you body but also enjoy good food that is good for you. So far I have made a couple recipes and they turned out really well. There are so many recipes in the book that you will have many to chose from. Plus if you own a slow cooker these recipes help you to make things in it to cook. But its not strictly for slow cookers.

September 4, 2022So I have been trying to find new ways to help with my husband’s inflammation flare ups. This book had a lot of knowledge to share and explained a lot of information on how to keep it under control. The recipes are a good start to get you on the right track but you probably would have to look in other places as well. If you prefer certain ingredients you may have to substitute and may change recipe. It is a good place to start for a healthier new you for the future. My main reason for this book was to try and use my instant pot for more of a variety yet still stay in the healthy category. It’s a good start.
